Resident Choice
We view our facility as our residents’ HOME.
Therefore, our staff members are guests in your home and we act accordingly. Families can visit their loved ones 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, just as if they were home.
Residents help decide how they choose to live, set the menus and meet monthly in a Residents’ Council to voice their likes and dislikes. All concerns they voice are addressed by the appropriate department then responded to in writing back to the Council.
Our facility sits on a beautiful 140-acre campus setting
with wooded areas, ponds and walkways for residents and family members to enjoy. The setting provides vistas where deer, turkey and other animals can be seen and enjoyed.
As a county health care facility, our mission is different than a for-profit nursing home corporation. Our “profits” are invested in our residents’ care — day-by-day, week-by-week, month-by-month.
As a result, our staffing levels of nurses, aides and support staff are higher than most nursing homes in the country. This allows us to provide more personalized time with each resident.
