CCMCF’S OCTOBER RESIDENT (JUNE STANTON)

CCMCF’S OCTOBER RESIDENT (JUNE STANTON)

June was born June 14 so there is always plenty of flags flying for her birthday. As a child she sold worms to fishermen for her spending money, this was during the Depression. Sometimes the customers would show up at 4:30 am and honk at the house so the little girl would get out of bed and sell them the worms they needed for their day of fishing.

June and her husband married on New Year’s Eve, and everyone always remembered their anniversary including her husband. The rooms in June’s home would get re-arranged every few months because she is a decorator at heart. She once spray painted a couch (yes there is paint made for this) to help it look better. June’s husband would say he landed on the floor more than once because the sofa would be somewhere else.

June rescued her grandchildren’s cat off the roof of their house. She climbed on the roof to get the cat. Her grandchildren thought they had the bravest Grandmother of all. June is fearless with wasps and bees. She would always protect her daughter whom was fearful of getting stung. June loves caring for people and has a big heart. She also loves her coffee breaks and a cookie or two. Lots of conversation were held during the coffee breaks.
